Alice in PFATTland

I belong to an eBay group known as PFATT, or Primitive Folk Art Tea & Talk. And it was with great anticipation that we decided to bring back PFATT Tuesdays. This is an event that takes place once a month, on a Tuesday, with an art challenge of a specific theme. We all create something with that theme and list it on eBay on Tuesday. So to kick off the renewed PFATT Tuesday fun, Alice in PFATTland became the subject of our art.

In the midst of creating some spring time rabbits, I decided to turn one of these little guys into the worried, "I'm late, I'm late, I'm late!" rabbit of the classic tale. My mixed media doll is now listed on eBay and was such a delight to create! Head on over to read all the details and for more pictures.

Join Me for Hippity Hop Fun March 31!

Just in time for Easter, join me for my spring workshop, Spring Tidings Paper Clay keepsake box. The sweet little piece is created with paperclay and a wooden box that actually opens to store candies or mementos. The always interesting Cottage Jewel Antiques in downtown Danville, CA, will be the location for the class, held Wednesday, March 31, from 4:30-7:30 pm, $45. You only need bring your basic tool kit, (scissors, cutting blade, pencil, pen, ruler, cutting mat, tacky glue and any embellishments you'd like to add). Harbingers of Spring

Rabbits are beginning to pop up everywhere, which must mean that Easter and spring are almost here. I'm tired of the cold, rainy weather and look forward to bright sunny days. The trees are blossoming and unfurling new leaves and tulips and daffodils have spread their cheery color everywhere.

And these colors were my inspiration for a paper mache rabbit keepsake box (pictured above), now on SpookyTimeJingles.com. Also, I couldn't help but create a piece with a bright antique spice tin (see picture below.)
