...that their light may always shine.
Tomorrow, December 9, we will be lighting a candle to remember our 17-year-old daughter Brianna who died in June. The Worldwide Candle Lighting is sponsored by The Compassionate Friends (TCF). Bereaved parents, siblings, grandparents, relatives, and friends from across the globe will join together for one day out of the year to remember a child who has died and know that the world remembers with us. I invite you to participate, whether at a formal service, at home with family and friends, or wherever you may be.
While the event is officially observed for one hour at 7 p.m. local time around the world, services, both formal and informal, will be held throughout the day. More than 435 Worldwide Candle Lighting services are listed on TCF's national website and more are being added every hour. There are listings received and posted from all 50 states plus Washington D.C. and services in 18 countries abroad. In addition, there is a tremendous show of unity as chapters of many allied organizations have joined in the Worldwide Candle Lighting this year including Twinless Twins, MISS, POMC, MADD, and BPUSA. Churches, funeral homes, memorial gardens, hospitals, hospices across the country, local bereavement groups, and informal groups of bereaved families are also participating.
I hope you join John, Trevor and me in remembering Brianna and all children of any age who have died. It is a day when you can light a remembrance candle and know that yours is joining with hundreds of thousands around the world. If you'd like to find a Worldwide Candle Lighting event near you, visit Worldwide Candle Lighting Events.
We miss you Brianna, and our grief is so great. We know that you would want us to continue on and that your light will shine on.
I will surely join you tomorrow nite at 7pm in remembering your beautiful Brianna :)

Iva, I will have your family in my heart tomorrow. I think of you and Brianna often. Usually it's when I'm doing the simple things. I sometimes think, how is Iva doing these simple things with a sad heart? Brianna has touched so many of us, as you know. And she has shown what an amazingly strong mother she has. Sitting across from you at lunch, watching you talk and even laugh warms my heart. But just so you know, admiration is never far when I look at you. Brianna must be so proud of you and your family.
Love to you all,especially Sunday.

Dear Iva, Brianna is your beautiful angel daughter & she is always in your heart. I know that you have a very strong connection with the veiled world we call Heaven as do I. Probably because I have lost so many friends & family to that world on high. I will surely light a candle for Brianna & all those beautiful children.
Blessings Always, Lyndy

Iva..
I am so sorry.. I just now saw this.. If it's alright with you, I will light a candle this evening and have my own special meditation time in remembrance of your lovely Brianna, and all of the other children who now watch over us.
Love you..

Dear Iva, I can't imagine how much it has taken out of you, but I know this has also given you the blessing of new friends, specially the women/artist/sisters that have gathered around you as a grove of redwood trees supporting you with their roots so you could stand the wind. I see you standing strong and your branches reaching out to the heavens where you are also blessed by your daughters smile. I have one daughter, she is 29, Veronica is like a twin soul to me and thinking of her gone makes my heart skip a beat. I have had many friends with the same hurt as you and I can only say, sweet lady, I am at your side if you ever need me, don't hesitate to reach out. I live in California too.
Bright Blessings to your day, stay gentle with your self and keep on with your art work.
Hugs
