Have the Happiest of Halloweens!

To celebrate Halloween, I treated myself to a class at Castle in the Air. The Pumpkin nodder taught by the oh-so-talented John McCrae is reminiscent of vintage toys. Here's the one I made. His body bobbles when touched. Everyone's turned out great.  Don't you just love his sinister grin? (And yes, I was having a little fun with Photoshop. hehe) It was a wonderful night of harvest fun complete with some yummy chocolate chip cookies from Daniel. Thank you!

Join Me for The Buzz About Beeswax Class

 

I have been invited  to teach a beeswax class at My Daughter's Wish, a paper arts and scrapbook store in Pleasant Hill, CA. I am so excited to share the dreamy affect beeswax adds to your art, gifts and memory making. From smoothing to stamping, artists are using it today in a variety of ways. The class will be Saturday, November 15, 2008, from 10 am - 1 pm, and is $45. To register, call the store at (925) 952-4437.

Attendees will get a goodie bag that has all the makings for a beeswax collage on wood board that celebrates autumn. The sample is pictured above. I hope you join me to experiment with this natural adhesive and get the aromatherapy benefits the melted beeswax provides. Fall has cast a spell on me

More fun with beeswax. I simply must begin Christmas pieces, but this time of year holds me spellbound. I hope fall has cast its spell on you too! You can find this piece listed among some of my available art on eBay. I am toying with CafePress and some of my collage work. Maybe creating notecards with images I have created.
