Finery for the Feast

I am drawn to old-time fashion plates and all the finery women used to wear long ago. Those tiny little waists!! Pictured is an enchanting keepsake box I've recently finished and listed on my Available Art blog, IvaWilcox.blogspot.com. Pinks, creams and golds, mixed with old images, gold Dresden and bullion fringe make up this paper mache piece. It can hold your own images of long ago fashions, maybe you in those bell bottoms, go go boots or hip huggers? Oh wait a  minute, those are back in style!

Soon it will be time for me and my family to get dressed in some of our own finery for the big feast. I hope your Thanksgiving is special and you enjoy the day with those you love.
