It's been a busy several weeks with two folk art shows, a birthday celebration in San Diego, the Macy's fashion show in San Francisco and the opening of the Post-Impressionism exhibit at San Francisco's De Young Museum, and now preparations for Halloween and costume party. Did I mention this all took place beginning September 18? Now you understand why I've been so absent on my blog!
Here is part one of our travels chronicled in photos. First, there are so many pictures of the Third Annual Tinsel and Treasures Folk Art show, I thought I'd provide them in a slideshow format (above). I'm warning you, they are gorgeous photos from the talented Sandy Wood of 8am Photography. The photos include the show's set-up, artist dinner on Friday evening, and the big event.
Then, it was off to San Diego for a quick trip to celebrate a dear friend's birthday in San Diego. We went to some fabulous restaurants and had drinks at George's on the Cove in La Jolla, to watch the sunset before dinner. It was a spectacular show!
Our view from the rooftop restaurant of the Pacific, and the slow descent of the sun until all are shrouded in darkness. It was a beautiful night!
Stay tune for part two of my recent goings on. Have a wonderful fall weekend!
Great photos Iva, and La Costa is kind of nice isn't it? ;) You have a Happy Halloween too! Take care, Martha
