A Vintage-Style Hot Air Balloon Ornament

From June 6 to July 17

Learn how to create a Victorianesque hot air balloon ornament with papier mache!

In this workshop, you will learn how to work with newspaper strips and paste, made from our own recipe with easily accessible ingredients. You will personalize your project and truly make it your own, once you learn the basics.

We'll create little baskets as the base with textured papers, and then adorn our balloons with paint and gold trimmings. They'll be given a nice aged patina to really add to that charm of a bygone era. Lightweight and able to be hung from a tree or stand upright, your hot air balloon is sure to be a one-of-a-kind keepsake or make a lovely gift for family and friends. The typical ornament measures 6-3/4" tall and is 3" wide.
